EXPERIENCE
Dave is currently in charge of business development of NBS. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a marketer in Genting Berhad, Air Mauritius and a travel agency. His past experience in the hospitality industry served as a stepping stone for acquiring plentiful insights in managing customer relations and in consultative sales.

Throughout his journey with NBS since 2009, he has been managing more than 2,500 portfolios of corporate and individual clients from various industries. This has given him in-depth understanding on clients’ demands and market trends. To him, intellectual property (IP) is the “soul” of a business, and every business should own IP rights in order to be sustainable and be distinguished from others. He is very keen in consulting clients on realistic impacts of IP towards the success of businesses and this has made him outstanding in the eyes of his clients. Besides, it has always been his passion to boost awareness on IP among Malaysian SMEs. Hence a lot of hard work is needed in order to achieve this.

Dave has been attending various trainings and seminars, as well as exhibiting at international conferences relating to IP and marketing, such as the Annual Meeting of International Trademark Association (INTA), Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) Conference, China Trademark Festival (CTF), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) World Congress, and etc. Therefore, he has a substantial amount of knowledge in the application of IP into commerce. He has also [successfully established strategic business relations with foreign associates for the firm, so this has further expanded the firm’s market overseas.

Personally, Dave is passionate about promoting the beauty of Malaysia to the world. His love for the country gave rise to his dream to “register” the sound, the scent and the colours of Malaysia internationally, so that Malaysia could be more renowned worldwide.
