๐Ÿ“‘ Since the year 1995, Cadbury had tried to claim sole right to the colour purple (Pantone 2685C). 24 years later, Cadbury finally cedes on the colour claim after being opposed by its rival, Nestle arguing that the colour purple had no distinctive character and was too broad for a range of goods. But this does not mean that others can start using the purple wrapper on their chocolate, Cadbury is still capable of protecting their โ€˜purpleโ€™ using unregistered trademark rights or goodwill.
