🔸 On 1 April 2021, the Guangdong Higher People’s Court awarded RMB30 million (~USD4.7 million) in damages to LEGO for trademark infringement and unfair competition against Lepin’s manufacturer. The court found the defendants’ use of the infringing marks in the same toy market was prolonged and highly profitable, amounts to malicious infringement and imitation of LEGO.
LEGO (乐高) sued Lepin (乐拼) over trademark infringement, and won!
