In view of the on-going ASEAN economic integration efforts, the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) which comprises IP offices from the 10 ASEAN member states, has prepared a 10-year action plan to meet the goals of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This 10-year roadmap, also known as the ASEAN IP Rights Action Plan 2016-2025, identifies the strategic goals and initiatives that will contribute to the collective transformation of ASEAN into an innovative and competitive region through the use of IP.
