📄 Nusr-et Gökçe, better known as “Salt Bae”, was sued for copyright infringement over an artwork showing his signature salt-sprinkling pose. This lawsuit was filed in the Southern District of New York on 12th April 2021 by a Brooklyn-based artist William Hicks, alleging “Salt Bae” for using his art on menus, takeout bags, merchandise etc at Nusr-Et Steakhouse locations without permission.
