✍🏻 As a baseline, we advise clients to go for the Madrid Filing System only when they are certain about the strength of their trademark, and at least 3 countries and 3 classes are intended. The main reasons are as follows:

1️⃣ A significant high entrance fee is required to commence the system
2️⃣ Each country designated will incur additional official fees
3️⃣ Local attorney will have to be appointed should adverse office action occur which renders the application timeline the same as a national filing.
