⚖️ Recently, major studios and streamers had declared legal war on TV box. In Universal City Studio Prod. et al. v. TickBox TV (US), the Plaintiff had sued and alleged the maker of TickBox gives users easy access to pirated content, thus, infringing their Copyrights. The Plaintiff had alleged that the apps in TickBox give users “nearly instantaneous access” to illegal content streams including those that are not available through legal streaming sites. It is not illegal to own a TV box, but using them to stream illegal contents are in fact illegal.
