©️ In 2014, Banksy’s representative, Pest Control Office successfully applied for an EU trademark for the Flower Thrower (picture); however, the trademark had been invalidated by the EU Trademark Office last year. The EU Trademark Office was of the opinion that since Pest Control Office could not disclose the artist’s real name and that they could not prove honest and concurrent usage of the artwork, they would not be able to trademark the artwork. The decision came after Full Black Colour, a British greeting cards company asked for the cancellation of the trademark. Previously, Pest Control Office had tried to stop Full Black Colour from using the Flower Thrower on their greeting cards.
