🗞️ A British biscuits manufacturer has been selling cookies in Malaysia for more than 20 years since 1990 under the registered trademark “ChipsMore”. Then, sometime in 2001, it was discovered that a Malaysian company had manufactured and sell cookies under the brand “ChipsPlus”. The British manufacturer then brings an action against the Malaysian company stating that the packaging and get-up of its product is confusingly similar to ChipsMore, amounting to trademark infringement and passing off.
