☝️ One important thing to note about an international registration of a Madrid system application is that the origin domestic trademark application/ registration will need to be safeguarded for the first five years of the application process. Reason being should anything happen to the domestic application/registration, all subsequent designated countries’ application where the domestic application/registration is based upon will also be affected. This is commonly known as a “central attack”.
